Choosing The Right Pillow Strap Size
Pillow Strap is made of a super stretchy fabric that accommodates pillows of various shapes and sizes. The measurements below are for inflatable pillows, if you're using a loose-fill foam pillow near the upper end of a size range, size up one for the best fit.

Small
Perfect for the ultralight backpackers counting grams. Slide in a small sized pillow or save the weight and stuff your puffy jacket in Pillow Stap's enclosure for the lightest pillow setup avaliable.
Fits pillows 10"–15" (25–38cm) wide.
Pads up to 25" (63cm) wide x 4" (10cm) thick.
Weighs 1.8 oz (52g).
Medium
The do everything size. Pair it with up to an 18" wide pillow and still have room to layer a puffy or extra shirt on top.
Fits pillows 15"–18" (38–47cm) wide.
Pads up to 25" (63cm) wide x 4" (10cm) thick.
Weighs 2.3 oz (65g).
Large
For campers who bring the big pillow for the ultimate luxury. Roomy enough for two medium sized pillows for those side sleepers that need extra height.
Fits pillows 19"–24" (48–61cm) wide.
Pads up to 30" (76cm) wide x 5" (13cm) thick.
Weighs 3.3 oz (93g).
Please note: The measurements above are not the size of the Pillow Strap enclosure itself, but the pillow sizes it will accommodate due to the stretch of the fabric. Unstretched enclosure measurements can be found on each product page under the Dimensions and Weight section. The term "wide" refers to the measurement of the longest dimension of your pillow.

Sleeping Pad Compatibility
Most sleeping pads work great with Pillow Strap. Rectangular and gently tapered mummy pads are ideal. The strap needs to be placed at the widest part of the pad. Closed-cell foam pads work too but may fold up slightly on the sides when not laying on your pillow. The one exception on compatable sleeping pads are mummy shaped pads with very steep rounded sides, such s Exped's mummy shape, they don't pair well because the widest part of the pad, where the Pillow Strap needs to sit to stay secure, is too low on the pad to be a practical place to place your pillow. We've tested extensively with Thermarest, nemo and other brand mummy shaped pads with no issues.
